SWBF2 Mod Tools Released

Finally, the moment we’ve all been waiting for… the official mod tools for Star Wars Battlefront II are out!

Of course, it’s a hefty download and we don’t have mirrors up (it may be awhile, due to the size and time required):

The Mod Tools are now available on Fileplanet. You can find it HERE

It is about 540MB to download, 1.5GB after it is done installing and takes about 150MB each time you start a new map. So make sure you have plenty of hard drive space before you start.

WE recommend you read the README and the Getting Started Document before getting into it. There is also a documentation folder with a bunch of documentation on various aspects of the tools. We also HIGHLY recommend installing it to the default directory & that you have Battlefront II installed prior to installing the Mod Tools

Remember, these are Development Tools so aren’t nearly as stable as commercial software. Although the Tools are fairly stable, we have seen issues where if you undo too many entries too quickly it could cause the program to hang. With anything, it is always a good idea to save often

Lastly, although we will not blindly forget about this release, we are unable to offer support for this and our support group has no knowledge about the Tools themselves.

IF you do encounter any issues or have questions, we encourage you to post it here on the forums and we will do our best to answer it or address it in some other fashion
